About LETS Go!
LETS Go! was founded by Rebecca Baxter in 2011 and offers a range of services specifically related to Down syndrome including Training, our Outreach Service to pre-schools, primary schools and secondary schools as well as our Early Development Groups and Speech & Language Therapy services. The LETS Go! team includes: Rebecca Baxter, Kelly Burgoyne, Sarah Holton, Sam Wood, Millie Pollard, Tracy Nye, Kim Lazarou, Kate Dale and Michelle Slater.

Rebecca Baxter (CertMRCSLT, BSc (Hons))
Managing Director & Speech and Language Therapist
Becky is the founder and Managing Director of LETS Go!. She began working with children with Down syndrome in 1997 before training as a speech and language therapist. She then worked for Down Syndrome Education International delivering a range of training and services, Becky continues to work with DSEI on a consultancy basis.

Becky delivers training to educators, speech and language therapists and parents worldwide. Her training covers a range of topics across the curriculum as well as in-depth behaviour, speech & language and full school inclusion. Becky is also a registered trainer for the Reading & Language Intervention for children with Down syndrome and guest lectures at University College London.
Her team of specialist inclusion advisory teachers work with parents, professionals and organisations supporting children with Down syndrome. Becky also has a Master’s degree in Language and Communication impairments in Children through Sheffield University. Becky is currently completing a PhD at University College London. Becky’s research area is developing and evaluating the effectiveness of a language intervention for children with Down syndrome. Dr Kelly Burgoyne (CPsychol, PhD, BSc (Hons)
Research Psychologist
Kelly is a research psychologist who specialises in reading and language development. In 2009 Kelly joined DSEI, focusing her work on the Reading and language Intervention for children with Down syndrome (published by DSEI). As part of this work, Kelly trained and supported a large number of schools across the south and gained significant experience working with a wide range of children, families and schools.

Kelly provides assessments, training and support for reading and language development for school age children with Down syndrome. She also provides training on a wide range of educational issues for children of all ages. Read more about Kelly's experience and qualifications.
Sarah Holton (BA (Hons) PGCE)
Inclusion Advisory Teacher
Sarah qualified as a teacher with a PGCE Primary Teaching (Early Years Specialism) after obtaining her degree in Arts in Education. She has 18 years of primary teaching experience, specialising in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. She has worked with many children with a variety of additional needs within a mainstream setting, and is passionate about successful inclusion. During her time teaching, she has worked as assessment coordinator and been acting Deputy Head.

Sarah joined LETS Go! in 2013 and manages and delivers the Specialist Outreach Services for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Sarah delivers training for professionals and parents on a variety of topics as well as running education workshops for pupils. She also delivers Early Development Groups for pre-school age children.

Sam Wood (BEd (Hons))
Inclusion Advisory Teacher
Sam qualified as a teacher achieving a Bachelor of Education, with a specialism in English. She has had a range of roles in school including class teacher, lower school coordinator and acting deputy head teacher. More recently she has worked as a tutor of children with specific learning difficulties supporting children with a range of needs.
Sam joined LETS Go! at the beginning of 2019 and delivers our specialist outreach for children with Down syndrome attending mainstream schools. Read more about Sam’s experience and qualifications.

Millie Pollard (BA (Hons) PGCE)
Specialist Inclusion Advisory Teacher
Millie began her career working with children in 2001 and has 18 years experience of working with children aged 0 – 8years. She has worked across the Early Years age band and has experience in teaching nursery to year 2. She studied teaching with a specialism in Early Years and has held several positions including SENCo, Early Years Leader and Phonics advisor and lead.
She has a huge range of experience of working with children with SEND and first met the LETS Go! team when we supported a child with Down syndrome in Millie’s class. Millie continues to teach part time alongside her role at LETS Go! delivering our Specialist Outreach Services to nurseries and schools as well as our Early Development Groups. Tracy Nye
Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
Tracy is a qualified Makaton tutor and has experience of using Makaton in schools. She has worked in schools supporting children with a range of speech, language and communication needs including Down syndrome. She has experience of using Makaton with individuals, in assemblies and whole school events.
Tracy joined LETS Go! in early 2021 as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant and delivers our Early Development Groups for preschool children with Down syndrome as well as our Nursery Outreach support. Kim Lazarou (BSc (PGCertEd))
Specialist Inclusion Advisory Teacher
Kim qualified as a teacher in 1999 with a PGCE Primary Teaching following a degree in Psychology. In addition to her experience teaching in mainstream schools and including pupils with a range of additional needs including Down syndrome, Kim has worked in preschool settings and is a gymnastics coach.
Kim joined LETS Go! in early 2021 and delivers our Early Development Groups for preschool children with Down syndrome. Kim also delivers the Specialist Outreach Services for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Read more about Kim’s experience and qualifications.
Kate Dale (BA (Hons) (AO QTS))
Specialist Inclusion Advisory Teacher
Kate qualified as a teacher in 2017 following 7 years working as a communication support worker supporting students within mainstream school. In addition, Kate has many years experience providing tuition support for children ages 4-14. Since becoming a teacher, Kate has continued to support children with a range of additional needs in her class and first met LETS Go! in this role, including a pupil with Down syndrome

Jo Munt

Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
Jo has worked in mainstream schools, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Down syndrome since 2001. Jo is a HLTA and her roles in primary school have included providing 1:1 support, covering whole classes and planning and delivering music to years three, five and six. She has worked in a mainstream secondary school since 2016 where she has supported a pupil with Down syndrome to achieve 7 GCSEs. Jo currently delivers speech and language programmes to a range of students as well as providing in class support and 1:1 tuition for pupils studying GCSEs.
Jo joined LETS Go! at the beginning of 2020 as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant and delivers the 16+ Communication Groups. These groups are for young adults with Down syndrome and focus on communication and social interaction. Read more about Jo’s experience and qualifications.
Michelle Slater
Administration, accounts & service coordinator
Michelle manages the administration duties, accounts, appointments and website for LETS Go! She has a background both in management and in the educational arena.

Michelle trained as a Nursery Nurse and worked as an LSA in KS1 for several years during which time she completed a one year Professional & Continuing Education course in Teaching Special Needs at Portsmouth University.
